Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Qiq LLC and our affiliates use cookies and similar technologies on our websites, web apps, and related sub-domains (“Websites”), why we use them, and the choices you have to control them.

To support customer communications and marketing strictly subject to your consent where required.

Types of cookies we use

Preference – remember selections (e.g., qiq.lang and qiq.locale-choice).
Analytics – help us understand how the site is used (aggregated, pseudonymized).

Examples of cookies/technologies

Current public website: Qiq currently uses browser local storage for consent and language routing. No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, or other optional analytics/marketing tracker is currently loaded. If one is enabled later, it will remain disabled until the required consent is recorded.

Consent: cookie-consent stores the selected analytics/marketing choices, timestamp and policy version for up to 12 months.
Language: qiq.lang and qiq.locale-choice remember the selected language; qiq.locale-redirected prevents repeated browser-language redirects. These remain until changed or cleared.
Optional analytics/marketing: only if later enabled and only after the required consent.
Infrastructure: our hosting and reverse-proxy providers may process technical request and security data; they are not currently used by Qiq for advertising profiles.

Managing cookies

You can accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies via our cookie banner or settings link in the footer (“Cookie Settings”). Most browsers also let you control cookies through their settings. Disabling some cookies may impact site functionality.

Legal basis (EEA/UK)

For strictly necessary cookies, our legal basis is legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to provide a secure, functioning service. For all other cookies, our legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie Settings”.

Retention
